Fun Snack Creations: Cupids Fruit of Love

February 13, 2013 by Kristen Smith

It has been way too long since we have done a “fun snack creation”!  With Valentine’s Day only one day away today is the perfect time for a fun snack made from fruit (and graham crackers).  Fun snack creations are an excellent way to excite kids about fruits and vegetables.  Most creations from 360FN allow the children to be an active member of the creation.

Can you guess the ingredients for this creation?!

The same ingredients were used for both creations – however the ingredients used for the inside of the heart vary slightly.  The first creation (pictured on left) has a mini fruit salad inside the heart (made with apples, bananas, and strawberries).  While the second creation (pictured on right) has a graham cracker under the fruit with only a banana in the center (see picture below).

The ingredients needed for both creations:
2 apple slices (bottom of heart)
1 strawberry, sliced in half (top of heart)
1 small pretzel stick, cut in half
1 banana slice, cut in half (one half cut in triangle)
Optional: graham cracker, additional fruit

For the solo pics…

Happy Valentines Day!
