Fun Snack Creation “Fruit Fish”

September 10, 2012 by Kristen Smith

One fish, two fish, red (I mean orange) fish, blue fish….
Summer may be coming to an end, but that does not mean your fruit intake should decline alongside.  Remember fun and creative fruit presentations are an excellent way to excite your family about eating fruit.
Now can you guess what fruits were used to create this fish?

If you guessed mandarine orange slices , blueberries, and a raisin you would be correct!  The non-fruit items included in the fish were gold fish and a cheerio (cereal).

Instructions to make fish:
1.  Shape the mandarine orange slices to make body of fish.
2.  Had blueberries to make strips on fish, fin, and fish tail.
3.  Place raisin on eye location; top with cheerio.
4.  Place goldfish around “fruit fish”

Have fun!
