“Banana pops” are taking Pinterest and food blogs by a storm. In fact this is not our first banana pop recipe – we first went down this road with “Banana Bites Peanut Butter Chocolate”, a delicious recipe with banana pieces, chocolate, pretzels and peanut butter.
Typically banana pops are dipped in yogurt or chocolate and frozen for a healthier cold treat. Most recipes use a chocolate or vanilla flavor and some roll or dip the pops in sprinkles, granola, and many other various toppings.
The appeal of “banana pops” to health conscious snackers is a sweet treat with lower calories and additional vitamins and minerals. Bananas are an excellent source of potassium and fiber. The pops are a healthier alternative to traditional ice cream pops. Most pops can be enjoyed for as little as 100 to 150 calories which is the ideal calorie range for a snack or sweat treat.
We wanted to create a “banana pop” never seen before! Alas the “Neapolitan Yogurt Banana Pop” was born! A lower calorie treat that allows you to enjoy a multitude of flavors – chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry. You might forget how healthy this treat really is! Perfect for your next child’s birthday party or simply for an evening or afternoon snack.
Enjoy!
